TrueExport Pro — Terms of Purchase and Use

Published at https://quietstack.tools/trueexport/terms and linked from the Polar checkout page and the plugin settings tab.

Version 1.0 — 17 August 2026

These terms apply when you buy a TrueExport Pro licence key.

Two other documents sit alongside them:

If any of them conflict on a question about the Pro licence key, these terms prevail. If any of them conflict on whether a feature is free, COMMITMENTS.md prevails — it cannot be overridden by these terms.

1. Who you are dealing with

TrueExport is made, supplied and licensed by Kesavan Paripurapavan, ABN 94 867 243 153, of New South Wales, Australia ("I", "me", "my"). I trade under my own name as a sole trader.

QuietStack is a product brand I use for my software. It is not a registered business name and it is not a separate legal entity. Your contract is with me personally.

Contact: support@quietstack.tools Location: New South Wales, Australia

Payment is processed by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), acting as merchant of record. This means Polar is the seller for the purposes of the payment transaction, issues your receipt or invoice, and collects and remits any GST, VAT or sales tax. Polar's own terms apply to the payment transaction. My obligations to you as the maker of the software are set out below and are not affected by Polar's role.

2. What you are buying

A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence key that unlocks the Pro Features in TrueExport.

3. Pro Features

All export fidelity features, all four built-in templates, and DOCX, HTML and PDF export are free and always will be. That is not a marketing line — it is a perpetual, royalty-free grant made in Schedule 1 of COMMITMENTS.md, published openly and intended to be relied on. In it I undertake that the Free Features will not be placed behind payment in any version, and that this survives any future change to TrueExport's licence. Buying Pro never becomes necessary to get correct output.

4. Activation

5. Updates

Your key works on:

If I ever release a paid major upgrade, your key continues to work on every Version released before that upgrade, indefinitely. I will not disable a Version you already have.

6. Refunds

I offer a 30-day, no-reason-required refund. This is a discretionary commercial policy, and not a remedy for a fault or defect in TrueExport — email support@quietstack.tools within 30 days of purchase and I will refund you in full, whatever your reason, no explanation needed. You will need your Polar order number or the email address you used.

Refunds are processed by Polar and are usually returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. The cost of contacting me is yours to bear (that is, the price of an email).

If TrueExport is faulty, your rights are separate from this policy and are set out in clause 7 below — they are not limited to 30 days and are not created by this clause.

This refund offer is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and any equivalent law in your country. It does not replace or limit them.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The paragraph above is the wording prescribed by regulation 90 of the Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010 and is reproduced exactly as prescribed, including the word "Our". Everywhere else in this document, "I" and "my" mean Kesavan Paripurapavan.

To make a claim under the Australian Consumer Law, or under this refund policy, email support@quietstack.tools with your order number and a description of the problem.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

8. What I do not promise

Subject to clause 7, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

Subject to clause 7, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, my total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with TrueExport Pro is limited to the amount you paid for your licence key.

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies and TrueExport is not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption, my liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, at my election, to supplying the software again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

9. Privacy

10. If you breach these terms

If you resell, share or publish your licence key, or use it in a way these terms do not allow, I may deactivate the key. I will email you first and give you a reasonable opportunity to stop. Deactivation does not affect your rights under PolyForm Shield, or your permanent right to the Free Features under COMMITMENTS.md.

11. Changes to these terms

I may change these terms for future purchases only. The terms that apply to you are the terms published at the time you bought your key, and I will keep past versions available at https://quietstack.tools/trueexport/terms/archive. I will not change the terms of a purchase you have already made.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country in which you live.
