TrueExport — Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 — 17 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information TrueExport and I, Kesavan Paripurapavan (ABN 94 867 243 153), collect, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

TrueExport runs entirely on your own computer. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no update checking. Your note content never leaves your device. The only information I hold about you is what is needed to deliver and support a Pro licence key.

What I collect

If you buy TrueExport Pro, my payment processor, Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), acts as merchant of record for the transaction and passes me:

I do not collect anything else. In particular, I do not receive your card details, your note content, or any information about how you use TrueExport.

Polar separately collects and processes payment information (such as card details and billing address) as merchant of record for the transaction. That processing is governed by Polar's own privacy policy, not this one — see Polar's Privacy Policy for details.

Why I use it

I use your email address, order number and licence key only to:

I do not use this information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above, and I do not sell it or share it with anyone other than Polar (as my payment processor) and any service provider strictly necessary to run support email (e.g. my email host).

Legal basis (for users in the EU/UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, my legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)) — I need this information to deliver what you purchased and support it.

How long I keep it

I keep order and support records for as long as needed to meet my tax and accounting obligations (currently five years under Australian tax law), after which I delete them unless you ask me to delete them sooner and I am not required to retain them.

Your rights

You can ask me, at any time, by emailing support@quietstack.tools, to:

If you are in the EU or UK, these are your rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR. If you are in Australia, I extend the same rights to you as a matter of policy. I will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (if you are in Australia) or to your local data protection authority (if you are in the EU or UK). I'd appreciate the chance to sort it out directly first — email me and I will do my best to resolve it.

Security

I don't hold enough personal information to make elaborate security infrastructure meaningful, but I take reasonable steps to protect what I do hold — including keeping access to my order records limited to me, and using a reputable, encrypted email provider.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will update the version number and date at the top and note what changed. Material changes will be flagged in the plugin's CHANGELOG.
